Abstract: The appearance of a paper by Konschegg and Malfatti1 on the soluble sulphide of iron causes me to call attention to some uncompleted experiments made some time ago by myself in the laboratory of the U. S. Geological Survey. Being unable to continue the work, I state them 1 Z. Anal. Chem., 45, 747 (1906).
