Abstract:Metathesis reactions O 0286 Substituent Effects on the Z/E-Selectivity in Cross-Metathesis of ConjugatedEnynes. -The cross-metathesis of conjugated enynes with alkenes using the Ru catalyst shown in the scheme results in preferred formation of Z-isomers. The reaction proceeds under kinetic rather than thermodynamic control; the degree of E/Z selectivity is dependent on the nature and position of functional substituent. -(KANG, B.; LEE, J. scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
