Abstract: The time taken for the spontaneous lysis of the calcium-clotted fibrinogen of the isolated euglobulin fraction of plasma was used as a method of estimating fibrinolysis by Kowarzyk and Buluk (1950) and further developed by Niewiarowski (1952). This method has the advantage of requiring simple apparatus and taking a relatively short time to perform.
