Abstract: The crystal structure of the intermetallic compound, magnesium plumbide, has been determined from X-ray diffraction data. The unit cell is cubic with an edge equal to 6.78 A. and contains four molecules. The positions of the atoms are given by the calcium fluoride arrangement.
