Taxpayer compliance is still an interesting topic to study since the government has launched tax amnesty program. This study aims at examining the influence of tax understanding, tax awareness and tax amnesty perceptions toward taxpayers' compliance in East Semarang Pratama Tax Office, Semarang City, and Central Java. The research population is taxpayers that are registered in East Semarang Pratama Tax Office. This study used convenience sampling as a sampling technique. This study used 200 (samples) units. Data collection technique used in this research is questionnaire which is developed from some previous studies. The writer then used descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis as the analysis method. The results of this study showed that the understanding of tax, taxpayer awareness and the perception of tax amnesty proved to have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. The taxpayer understanding and awareness become variables that have a stronger influence than a variable of tax amnesty perception. The other results indicate that gender can influence taxpayer compliance as well. Female taxpayers are more compliant than male taxpayers. It is then suggested that the tax office always enforce tax education programs to taxpayers regularly and continuously to increase the taxpayers' understanding and awareness.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship of good university governance, teaching quality of lecturers and student satisfaction. It also aims to examine the effect of learning facilities on good university governance and student satisfaction. 361 students of the Faculty of Economics, Semarang State University, were involved in this study using proportionate random sampling. Then, to gather the data, a questionnaire was distributed, and the data were analyzed by applying SEM-PLS. The results showed that good university governance, teaching quality of lecturers, and learning facilities had a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction. The teaching quality of lecturers is proven to be influenced by good university governance. In addition, learning facilities also have a significant effect on good university governance.
Abstract-This paper is intended to re-examine and analyze the student's academic fraud behavior in the perspective of fraud diamond. The research method used was quantitative research with the design of causality test to analyze the factors that influence the student's academic fraud behavior. The populations of this study were the students of Economics Education at Faculty of Economics in Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES)/State University of Semarang. The questionnaire was used to collect the data and developed from the fraud diamond concept. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) the most frequently-committed academic fraud is wrongful cooperation to finish group assignments; and (2) based on the concept of fraud diamond, the pressure and rationalization are proven to have a significant effect on the students' academic fraud behavior. Meanwhile, the opportunity and capability are not proven to have any influence.
<p style="text-align: justify;">The ability to think critically and creatively is essential for students to be able to face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. Lectures must be designed to enhance students’ critical and creative thinking skills. This study aims to examine the implementation of problem-based learning in learning management information systems courses to improve students critical and creative thinking skills. The research design carried out was classroom action research. The subject in this study was students of Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang. The research was conducted in April-May 2019. The procedure for implementing class action research are two cycles (plan, action, observation, and reflection). The research data was taken by observation and interview methods. The data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that two class action research cycles were well implemented. The application of the problem-based learning method can improve students’ critical and creative thinking skills. Students are able to solve a given case by doing the right analysis and being able to provide alternative solutions. Students consider the learning process to be more exciting and challenging. Students can express their opinions well in front of the class. The implication of this research is that lecturers can apply PBL with various combinations of learning strategies to improve students' critical and creative thinking skills.</p>
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antara keteladanan pemimpin, kompetensi perangkat desa, dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja perangkat desa melalui komitmen organisasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 157 perangkat desa di Kecamatan Pangkah dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 113 orang dari 23 desa yang dihitung dengan rumus slovin. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, kuesioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Metode analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan path analysis dengan signifikansi sebesar 5%. Hasil perhitungan data diperoleh persamaan mediator yang selanjutnya disingkat dengan M = 11,542 - 0,005X1 + 0,164X2 + 0,200X3+ 0,734e1 dan kinerja perangkat desa yang selanjutnya disingkat dengan Y = 11,573 + 0,233X1 + 0,246X2 + 0,084X3 +0,270M + 0,720e2. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keteladanan pemimpin dan kompetensi perangkat desa berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap kinerja perangkat desa. Namun, variabel budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasi tidak berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kinerja perangkat desa. Sedangkan variabel kompetensi perangkat desa dan budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh positif secara tidak langsung melalui komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja perangkat desa. This research aimed to determine the direct and indirect influence of leaders’ exemplary, village apparatus’ competence, and organizational culture to the village apparatus’ performance through organizational commitment.The population in this research was 157 village apparatus in Pangkah with 113 samples from 23 villages calculated by Slovin Formula. Data collecting methods were documentation, questionnaire, observation, and interview. The methods of the data analysis of this researchused path analysis with 5 % significance.The result of the data calculation obtained the equation of mediation then shortened as M = 11,542 - 0,005X1 + 0,164X2 + 0,200X3 + 0,734e1 and village apparatus’ performance then shortened as Y = 11,573 + 0,233X1 + 0,246X2 + 0,084X3 + 0,270M + 0,720e2. The results showed that leaders’ exemplary and village apparatus’ competence have a direct positive effect to the village apparatus’ performance. However, the organizational culture and organizational commitment variables did not direct affect the village apparatus’ performance. While the competence variables of village apparatus and organizational culture have a indirect positive influence through organizational commitment to the village apparatus’ performance.
This research aims to determine the effect of using instagram social media and hedonic shopping motives to impulse buying media and to know whether financial literacy is able to moderate the influence of instagram social media use and hedonic shopping motives to impulse buying. This type of research is quantitative research. The population of this research was students of Accounting Economics Education Study Program of Economics Faculty of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The research sample was 110 students of class of 2013 which chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistic, simple regression analysis, and interaction test (moderation). The result of the research shows that instagram social media usage and hedonic shopping motives have positive and significant effect to students' impulse buying. The result of regression analysis shows that financial literacy has negative and significant effect on impulse buying. Thus, financial literacy can moderate the influence of instagram social media usage to impulse buying. However, the other regressive result indicates that financial literacy is not able to moderate the influence of hedonic shopping motives on impulse buying.
